Training Description
This Hospice Basic Training is intended to establish your knowledge of the elements and importance of hospice care, from ancient practices to modern day. This training intends to cultivate and refine surveyor skills and focuses on surveying hospice care facilities for their compliance with regulations specific to hospice care providers.
Training Objectives: On completion of this training, you will be able to:
- Understand the origins of hospice care.
- Comprehend the modern-day philosophies of hospice care.
- Identify the philosophy, general concepts, and goals of hospice care.
- Identify the levels of hospice care.
Training Duration: 24 hours
Completion Requirements: This self-paced Hospice Basic Training includes a mandatory pretest, eight learning modules, a mandatory posttest, and a CMS-approved training evaluation. Both the posttest and the evaluation must be completed to generate a certificate of completion to earn training CEUs. To pass the Hospice Basic Training, you must score a minimum of 80% on the course posttest.
