Training Description

This OPO Basic Training intends to provide you with the knowledge to conduct a recertification survey of an Organ Procurement Organization based on guidance from the Code of Federal Regulations and the State Operations Manual, Appendix Y. This training will aid you in developing your surveyor skills and proficiency.

  • Identify how to monitor the components of an effective survey.
  • Identify techniques for performing a professional, fact-finding survey.

Training Duration: 24 hours

Completion Requirements: This self-paced OPO Basic Training includes a mandatory pretest, 8 learning modules, a mandatory posttest, and a CMS-approved training evaluation. Both the posttest and the evaluation must be completed to generate a certificate of completion to earn training CEUs. To pass the OPO Basic Training, you must score a minimum of 80% on the course posttest.
