Training Description

The Adv LSC—Building Construction Training is an advanced-level training intended to provide you with greater knowledge of the LSC requirements that apply to building construction, such as the various construction types and the protectives for fire and life safety that are included in the construction of a health care facility. This training will aid you in developing your surveyor skills and proficiency.

Training Objectives: On completion of this training, you will be able to:

  • Identify construction material and classification of structures.
  • Identify construction-related CMS regulations.
  • Identify LSC protection requirements for various construction components, including barriers, openings, and dampers.

Training Duration: 24 hours

Completion Requirements: The self-paced Adv LSC—Building Construction Training includes a mandatory pretest, six learning modules, a mandatory posttest, and a CMS-approved training evaluation. Both the posttest and the evaluation must be completed to generate a certificate of completion to earn training continuing education units (CEUs). To pass the Adv LSC—Building Construction Training, you must score a minimum of 80% on the course posttest.
