This Hospice Survey Protocol Update 2023 is intended to introduce the revised SOM Appendix M, cultivate and refine surveyor skills, foster understanding of the hospice training requirements, and enhance surveyors’ overall ability to assess compliance with hospice guidance, especially the ability to focus on the quality of care provided to patients.
