Training Description: The End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Basic Core Survey Training develops and refines surveying skills, provides training on the Conditions of Coverage (CfC), fosters an understanding of the ESRD Core Survey process, and enhances a surveyor’s overall ability to conduct ESRD surveys for Medicare certification on behalf of CMS. You will learn to identify the stages of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), ESRD’s symptoms and treatment options, the basic processes of dialysis, the purpose and tasks of the ESRD Core Survey process, and the surveyor’s role in ESRD care. This self-paced, asynchronous online course takes about 16 hours to complete. It consists of a pre-test, 5 learning modules with practice questions, and a post-test.
