Training Description
This CLIA PoDs Activity is intended to provide training to Federal and State surveyors who will use the comprehensive PoDs during the final step in the survey process: completing the Form CMS-2567, Statement of Deficiencies and Plan of Correction. This training will help to develop your survey skills and proficiency regarding writing effective, defensible statements of compliance and noncompliance.
Training Objectives: On completion of this training, you will be able to:
- Identify the purpose and main components of Form CMS-2567.
- Correctly distinguish each statement's effectiveness according to the specific PoDs.
- Write statements of deficiency that adhere to the PoDs.
Training Duration: 5 hours
Completion Requirements: This self-paced CLIA PoDs Activity includes a mandatory pretest, three learning modules, a mandatory posttest, and a CMS-approved training evaluation. Both the posttest and the evaluation must be completed to generate a certificate of completion. To pass the CLIA PoDs Activity training, you must score a minimum of 80% on the training posttest.
