Training Description: The Complaint and Incident Intake and Triage online training course is designed to cultivate and refine surveyor skills, foster understanding of the Intake and Triage processes, and enhance surveyors’ overall ability to:

  • Explain the reason for and purpose of the Triage Process.
  • Determine if a complaint/incident is a CMS matter.
  • Collect all relevant information needed to complete the intake of a complaint and/or incident.
  • Recognize the conditions that make each priority category unique.
  • Assign the correct triage priority category to a complaint and/or incident.
