Training Description
The CIIT Training is intended to establish surveyor understanding of the intake and triage processes, which govern how a State Survey Agency receives complaint and incident reports and assigns priority levels to them. The training will aid you in developing your surveyor skills and proficiency.
Training Objectives: On completion of this training, you will be able to:
- Identify the intent of the complaint and incident report intake and triage process.
- Apply key terminology.
- Identify the information required for an intake.
- List the steps required to triage complaints and incidents.
Training Duration: 4 hours
Completion Requirements: The self-paced CIIT Training includes a mandatory pretest, two learning modules, a mandatory posttest, and a CMS-approved training evaluation. Both the posttest and the evaluation must be completed to generate a certificate of completion to earn training continuing education units (CEUs). To pass the CIIT Training, you must score a minimum of 80 percent on the training posttest.
